Nip from the Hip Ltd is a family run business based in Maidstone, Kent producing mouth-watering fruit infused alcoholic drinks.
Alison J Smith and Joy E Wilding are a mother-daughter team who share a wealth of skills and experiences in many varying professions; and have now joined forces to form Nip from the Hip.
How We Got Started
The inspiration behind the name and the branding of the company originates from time spent at Alison and Paul’s wedding in February 2011, located in one of London’s top hotels. A select number of guests were given hip flasks as a gift, filled with delightful flavoured Gins and Vodkas made by Alison’s mother Joy. With varying degrees of nerves from members of the wedding party, having a “nip from the hip” became common place throughout the day’s proceedings!
We want you to enjoy these deliciously flavoured drinks in times of stress and celebration, on a cold winter’s day, or a warm summers evening; basically whenever the need or desire arises. Enjoy!
